Hello friends! I had a really fun birthday yesterday with my family. I had a good time with lots of good food and laughter! Thank you for those of you who took time to wish me happy birthday. I really appreciate it 🙂 Today, I am sharing my card made for the Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challenge with Pretty Pink Posh. I own products from both companies and I love them both. So, I decided to play along.
Spring is here! The cherry trees near my house are blooming. Inspired by the beautiful flowers, I made a bear in flower shaker card. More details below.
- White heat emboss the Mondo Hydrangea bouquet on watercolor paper. Color with Gansai Tambi watercolor, then die cut it out
- Die cut the bear from All Inside, stamp with Versafine Toffee ink, color with Zig clean color markers
- For the background, stamp the hydrangea flowers with light gray ink. Stamp the sentiment with Versafine Toffee ink, blend some Scattered Straw distress ink over the sentiment
- Die cut the shaker frame with MFT Stitched Square Scallop Frame Die-namics. Fill in the shaker with some pretty sequins from Pretty Pink Posh
- Mount the shaker on Grout Gray card stock to finish off
I love the bear so much!! I can never get tired of it! So as the Mondo Hydrangea! Although I basically watercolor it every single time, but this stamp is seriously so pretty. I hope you enjoy today’s post. Have a wonderful day!!!
Hi friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! Today I want to share a simple card featuring Essentials by Ellen Bed of Roses die. I made this card a while ago but I forgot to share it. This stunning die is designed to cover the whole card area, but I decided to only show a part of it for a more modern look.
Since I am only showing a small area of flowers, I wanted to make it very colorful. I used distress inks both on the die and beneath it to create layers of colors. Then, I covered up the rest of the card with white paper with a simple sentiment.
Hope you like this CAS card idea. I wish you have a wonderful day!
Hello friends! I hope you are having a fantastic week! I am very happy that March is here because it is my birthday month 🙂 Plus, Spring is approaching. Some flowers in my neighborhood are already blooming! This inspires me to do some decor changes around the house. I stretched some supplies that I already have and made a new wall art for my craft room.
I found this quote somewhere and I really liked it. It inspires me to do something different each time I craft. Now, I cannot do brush lettering so I cheated with stamps. I started off stamping on an A4 white paper. I used alphabet sets by Concord & 9th and Essentials by Ellen to achieve a realistic brush lettering look. Then, I stamped some Altenew flowers around my piece and colored with Copic markers. Lastly, I trimmed down the piece to size and added some soft blue around the corners to finish.
I hope this is inspiring. The whole process took me over 2 hours. It is quite hard to get the quote right off the bet. However, my MISTI helped me a lot! I am still searching for a frame for this piece. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. I hope you have a wonderful day!
